 Jerry Bucknoff  ftleejerry@aol.com  Jerry Bucknoff, MBA, PMP, is an I.T. Management consultant with a focus on data architecture and business intelligence applications for financial services clients. His training specializations include: project management, PMP certification, MS-Powerpoint, .NET, SQL. Jerry has over 20 years experience in data architecture, business analysis and project management. Jerry has also taught classes at Baruch College and for corporate clients. Jerry is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a graduate of SetFocus, the Microsoft Certified Technology Education Center, where he spent 3 intensive months learning .NET and SQL Server technologies.
 Michael Horowitz  michael@michaelhorowitz.com  A gifted teacher as well as technical expert, Michael Horowitz teaches several courses in the area of using your computer more efficiently and safely, from Backing Up data and settings to buying and caring for a laptop.
Michael started with mainframe computers and then graduated to PCs. He is the web master for the WBAI page of info about the Personal Computer Show (Wednesday evenings at 8:00 pm at 99.5 FM).
His own website has a wealth of information.
 Ron Acher  ronacher@comcast.net  Ron Acher is a long-time NYPC member with an MBA in Finance, who taught DOS for NYPC when it was still new, and was at one time Chair of the NYPC Finance Committee. He currently runs a small business called QuickBooks for Startups (qbfs@comcast.net) in which he applies the principles he teaches in this course.
 David Kleiman  roots@heritagemuse.com  David Kleiman is an Acrobat, genealogy, and database expert--and a former President of NYPC. David truly pushed the envelope of Acrobat use with his publication of the digital edition of the English and Scottish Popular Ballads edited by Francis James Childs. David also chairs the Genealogy and Family History SIG of NYPC.
 Ted Cohn  TedCohn@earthlink.net  As co-chair of the NYPC Wireless and Palm SIGs, Ted is an evangelist for handheld digital communication. He explains technical issues clearly, and his enthusiasm is contagious.
 Patrick McEvoy  patmcevoy@mac.com  Patrick is proficient with both the MAC and PC. He is the videographer for the NYPC podcasts.
 Laura Balsam  nypc@hookbuilt.com  Laura is the dynamic chair of NYPC's Photoshop SIG. She is interested in--and knowledgeable about--the latest technology.

 Jeff Frankel  webjjf1967@aol.com  A terrific web guru, Jeff Frankel chairs NYPC's Flash SIG and produces our NYPC video podcasts. He has developed some truly impressive websites, and is an outstanding instructor, with a very clear presentation style.
 Marge Earthlife  chair@nypceducation.org  Marge is the dynamic Chair of NYPC’s Education Committee. She has extensive experience in computer training and curriculum development. She is exceptionally skilled in teaching complex concepts.
 Fred Kahn  fatpilot@yahoo.com  Fred Kahn is an eBay "Power Seller," registered trading assistant, and eBay certified education specialist trained by eBay. Fred imparts his knowledge about eBay with great enthusiasm. He is A+ certified. He is also a professional photographer who uses his engineering background to really understand his camera--and accessories!
 Al Vachris  alfred.vachris@gmail.com  Al Vachris is a true Excel Power User. He has chaired NYPC's Excel SIG for several years.
 Anna Gourdji  agourdji@yahoo.com  Anna Gourdji teaches programming at the college level.
 Mary Ginsburg  Treasurer@nypceducation.org  Skilled in both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, Mary has also devoted time to understanding the many new controls found on digital camers. She developed the hands-on workshop in "Mastering Your Digital Camera Controls," for which she prepares by downloading information about each participant's camera.
One of her enthusiasms is Internet searching, in which she has engaged since the mid-1980s (pre-Web).
 Len Ginsburg  LeonardGinsburg@earthlink.net  Len is an accountant who has grown to love computers more than numbers! He specializes in helping small businesses computerize their books, using either general-use applications such as QuickBooks or specialized vertical applications. He is a QuickBooks Professional Advisor. He is especially skilled at explaining bookkeeping concepts to persons with no financial experience.
 Terry Tolvo  buffalos2@earthlink.net  Terry is a graphics artist specializing in Photoshop and Illustrator. Terry purchased her first Wacom in 1989 to use with Adobe Illustrator and soon discovered that it helped her wrists as well. She no longer uses a mouse at all, and considers the tablet “the best thing I ever bought” for her computer.
 Tony Holley  tholley@citytech.cuny.edu  Tony Holley has been co-chair of the Photography and Digital Graphics SIG for several years. In addition to taking impressive still photographs, he has extensive experience in taking, editing, and showing videos which hold the audience’s attention. He is also a member of NYPC's Bits & Bytes editing team and participates in video projects for other nonprofits.
He is an experienced and patient tech teacher.
 Mark Halegua  msh@farsight-data.com  Mark Halegua is a professional Computer Consultant, whose company is FarSight Data Systems. He has been working in the computer industry as a consultant for over 20 years, working on CP/M, DOS, Xenix, OS/2, Novell, Linux, and Windows systems. Mark has used Knoppix for over 6 years, and one of his most prized possessions is the disk with Knoppix 3.4 personally given to him by Klaus Knopper, the creator of Knoppix.
Mark is Chair of NYPC's DeLUGE SIG, which meets monthly to discuss desktop applications for Linux.
Mark is also an enthusiast and expert on Pulp Magazines.
 Bill Ginsberg  wzg128@aol.com  Bill is an early, enthusiastic adopter of the Palm PDA and then of the Treo SmartPhone. He has a knack for teaching beginners how to use it.

Bill also is a "bricks and mortor" architect, and NYPC's Program Chair (General Meeting Planner). He often uses MS Word very effectively to design and print handouts for NYPC. He also has an artistic eye, and uses it to great effect in his photography.
